PRESS / MEDIA ACCREDITATION FAQ
PRESS / MEDIA ACCREDITATION FAQ
We consider your coverage plans when reviewing your application to cover PROCON Event and expect coverage to be thoughtful, insightful, informative, and consistent with your stated coverage plan. We do not consider social media posts or an unstructured compilation of photos, videos, or articles unrelated to PROCON events or illustrating/describing them in a less than honest and substantive way as to press coverage.
We expect something of value to our event, brand, or product in the means of coverage – a reportage from the event, a summary, press release, or more editorial piece incl: expert’s paper, whitepapers, reports. Besides, we may agree on neglecting any work concerning the event and transfer our expectations to an entirely different creation. It still should bring the mentioned value for us (ex. another article with our expert’s testimonial, interview with our Reps regarding issues other/connected to the event theme, printed and online ads, newsletter releases).
If you are willing to include any quotes or/and testimonials or/and presentations in whole or fragments in your materials and photos, please subject them to us before publishing for necessary approval and authorization with authors. Some presentations are classified and available for participants’ eyes only (we don’t provide them after events). We reserve the right to unpublish chosen photos.
To our extent, we will try to provide you with all the necessary and available materials, access (online), contacts, and prearranged meetings/calls with any cooperating experts and conference speakers. All that enables you to produce valuable content that will or will not be available for us to publish (directly or indirectly, ex. share in social media from your source/media house). Still, the material must confirm its publication with us. We will gladly share any video recordings and materials with Journalists even when not able to be in-person/online based on prospective coverage to come.
That’s almost all – please check the next question and disclaimers.
If you have any questions about the media registration and accreditation process, please contact our PR Manager – maciej.hollek(at)optibuy.com.
Just a couple of disclaimers:
– We reserve the right to refuse accreditation for the PROCON event if the specified deadlines are not respected or if the documents provided do not meet the requirements; in extreme cases, we reserve the right to approve or deny accreditation at will. The decision is final and cannot be appealed. However, we will do everything to clear out the situation for you and us and reach a common ground.
– Depending on the number of requests, the overall accreditations may be stopped until further notice.
– Having access to our events does not guarantee you the right to ask a question, as the event’s duration is limited. Nevertheless, we will try to contact the presenter.
– Once your application is complete, please allow us five full business days to consider your application; it usually takes about 2-3.
– Press Accreditation Applications should be filled out as soon as possible and no later than five working days before the event (in the case of POF21 it is, until March 9th).
– Press/media accreditation is not transferable and cannot be used for any other purpose than attending PROCON events.
– PLEASE NOTE: If you participated in the event as an accredited journalist, you must have submitted your coverage (regardless of our arrangements and type of agreed-on cooperation) not later than six months after the event date to be in good standing. Please note that it is your responsibility to confirm that your coverage/publication was received & acknowledged. If you have covered PROCON events in the past, let us know! 😊Maybe other similar events? We will take your past work as an accredited journalist into account upon the assessment of your application.
